If it is a plain flat door , but some wood trim and cut it to make 2 or 3 rectangles , which ever look you like better. Then glue them to the door.
then use chalk paint to paint the door and finish using the antique wax ( you brush or paint it on & wipe off ) the darker wax will give it an aged look and it the wood trim added to the door will hold more of the darker color to give it more dimension.
