Shower Jelly Soap
This shower jelly soap is so much fun to make and to use! My kids love using it. I used essential oils to naturally scent it, but you can use fragrance oils if you'd like.
Jelly soap can be used as a body bar of soap or for your hands. My kids like to use it in the shower.
You'll need:
2 packs of unflavored gelatin
3/4 cup boiling water
1/2 cup liquid castile soap
1 teaspoon salt
30 drops Apple Pie spice essential oil
liquid soap colorant
You can use any soap mold, but I prefer silicone molds for jelly soap. I find it easier to peel the mold from the soap to get it loose.
Pour the unflavored gelatin into a glass bowl. Pour the boiling water over the gelatin. Stir well.
Add the liquid castile soap, colorant, and essential oils. Stir well.
Pour it into a soap mold. I used this adorable owl silicone mold.
It will get a lot of bubbles on the top. I spray with rubbing alcohol to remove the bubbles.
Set it in the fridge until it sets up. After it's fully hardened, unmold it from the mold. It does tend to stick, so carefully peel it back. Use it just like you'd just soap.
Don't let it sit in water because it will dissolve. Set it on a soap dish to dry and don't let it sit in the shower unless it's being used
