After washing it well with warm soap and water and rinse it off and dry it, you can apply peel and stick back splash that comes in metallic or tile looking back splash. It is very inexpensive as far as back splashes go and also very user friendly. If we can do it, anyone can. There are many styles and colors available now too. Hope this helps Erockvoan
Many choices. Tile, paintable bead board, metallic looking plastic squares that look like old ceiling tile. One home talker made one from their favorite piece of material and attached it to a piece of plexiglass on the back with glue face side up. The plexiglass is washable and put up with 4 decorative screws. Some love reclaimed wood but I would suggest something you can wash as it WILL get splattered with grease. Go to the top of the forum page and type in stove backsplash in the area where it says " find your next project." You will be amazed by the creativity.
