What should I look for in flowering plants/shrubs an ornamental grass to plant(and when)around my new tiny house that sits by a creek,in the shade a lot and sandy soil? Thank you

I would check with a local nursery for the best plants. You could also have your soil tested. Hostas and primrose are two plants that like shade.
Check out native plants, make a list of what grabs your attention. I did raised beds outside my Tiny House - we have a creek in the distance as well and just love it.
