How do I access the walls of my two story stairwell?
This area is part of my foyer and the upstairs hallway we have lived in the house for 5 years with contractor paint but we can't figure out how to get up to the walls that are 2 stories high.

Hi Judy, are you looking to decorate or paint your strairwell? Or maybe both?
you may have to rent a scissor lift
Hi there,
Very long Ladder or better still Scaffold tower, and a long handled paint roller. If not confident call in a decorator - It will get done in half the time it would take you and he will already possibly have the right equipment.
Scaffolding and ladders. That may be a job you want to hire out.
Scaffolding, you can rent it.
Your kidding, right? How do you think the homebuilders and painters got up there?
Ladders and scaffolds are what is used. Can rent either at a tool supply. I would go with a scaffold as many emergency room visits are from people hanging off ladders to paint or perform various tasks. You don't want to be "those" people. Also use extension poles on your rollers. Just be darn careful, especially when painting in a stairwell.
