How can I not put emphasis on dollar value of a gift?

    Find our what the recipient likes to do,hobbies or living styles. Then give them something they will love to go with that. The price doesn’t matter if it’s a gift they’ll love.

    Shantha...I believe that is up to the individual but are you speaking about office gifts, etc. where you want everyone to give and receive the same value in a gift? Sorry...guess I'm a little uncertain of your question.

    If you’re talking about what retail stores have done to us to make us spend huge amounts of money on Christmas, then

    Talk about it with the recipients, if that’s the issue. It’s Jesus’ birthday, not theirs.

    Make something by hand, if cost is the issue.

  • Well i completely ignore the buy buy buy that the commercial establishments want you to do. Homemade gifts are the best, or only spend an amount that is within your budget. Don't get get caught up in the fake commercialism.
