How can I keep Poinsettia alive past Christmas?

Leaves are constantly fall from my poinsettias. How to keep the alive? Do I need to repot?

Yes, I repot until they are big enough to be planted in ground. I am in zone 9, so it does make a difference. You may choose to keep in pots If in a cooler climate. See if these sites are helpful to you.

  Thanks, Naomie. I was not aware they could be planted in the ground. I am in Georgia, so I probably would need to wait until the frost season is over to plant into the ground. Very helpful information. Dessie

  So welcome Dessie! Yes they can go in ground. My girlfriend has an entire grove of them. I had one outside my front door in the last apartment I lived in. My girlfriend has them lining one side of her property as a privacy fence. They can easily get to be 7' tall under the right conditions.
  
  Give it a try in spring and see what happens.
