consider the weight and the size of the sign -- 2 x 5 is not only heavy if it's IRON, but will be subject to the force of the wind ... significant anchors/support will be called for!
sounds lovely, -- maybe 4 x 4 cedar posts ... sort of 'rustic' -- and more in balance to the size of the sign than pipes ....
