I bought 4 blue Rose of Sharon bushes in 5 gallon size pots and got them in before the snow fell..I am in Zone 4..however, life has me moving to a new property and I want to take them with me if possible..will I kill them if I dig them back up this spring and place them in another 5 gallon container..they have been pruned and shaped...they are special to me because I love blue and they are a true blue...thanks so much..

As long as you are careful and don't damage the roots, you should be safe. Have the spots you are going to plant them in ready for them when you go to dig them up so they aren't out of the ground for long.

    • Just keep as much of the rootball in tact as possible. Dig up within a day or two of your actual move date and get them in ground as quickly as possible. They will go into shock, but they are hardier than you may imagine and will recover once in ground again.
