How do I use a wall covering as flooring?
Reading about all kinds of different ways to cover walls. Wondered if you can do this with flooring then cover with a couple layers of polyurethane?

Your house, you can do anything you want. Consider your climate. Beach? Snow? Desert? Consider your family. Kids? Pets? Elderly? Whether you realize it or not, floors take a beating even if you are gentle on things. Think of chairs moving in and out from a table. Dropping things, spilling things. My vote is no, but don't let that stop you. As long as you have the budget for plan B if this doesn't meet your expectations - go for it.
Polyurethane is pretty durable, that being said, a concern would be scratching and then what to do about it. Floors take a different kind of wear than walls and furniture.
