How to secure the bottom of my fence to prevent dog digging under?
I want to adopt a rescue dog and I need an easy, budget friendly to way to prevent the dog from digging under my wooden fence. I'm 68 and don't have a lot of upper body strength. The rescue groups visit the home to insure the dog will be secure in the yard before they will approve the adoption.

Here's a way to add "dig wire" to an existing fence. This may be easy for you to do. Another idea that I have used is to lay cement sidewalk blocks on the ground so that the fencing falls about halfway on either side. It's hard work though because those blocks are heavy. http://wolfdogproject.com/fencing.html
They only way I know to do this is t dig a barrier like metal fencing or something to keep poochie out.
If soemthing is in the way before the fence, like we did at moms it won’t dig at the fence line.
Plants with a boarder, lawn furniture etc.
We had decorative plant containers in the way where Fido would dig. They were quite big.
You can install snake fencing, but that is a lot of hard work. I would just line the fence with cinder blocks.
When our dog digs a hole my husband puts a big rock in it. You can also use railroad ties or landscape timber. I know that's what most people do. Good luck with your new pup. It sounds like you would make a great pet owner.
I would add chicken wire bent in an L shape and held in place by bricks or cinder blocks.
