When do I trim my Rose Bush?
Hi, I live near Philadelphia, PA and have a rosebush in front of my house. When is the proper time to cut it back? And how far back should I cut it? Thanks!

I am in zone 9 and prune in late January to early February and have my first blooms by Easter. Mine are still blooming. Here is a photo from New Year's.

I usually do mine in late fall so that they are short enough to put rose cones over them when it gets cold.....of course, that isn't necessary if your area isn't cold in winter.
I live in N.C. and we trim in the month of March. If there are some really long branches trim them off before winter...just a little.
