Excuse my English sense of humour! SHOUT AT IT ! Real answer: Rub it down in places - hit it with a hammer etc. Paint it - rub it down in places - paint in maybe a different colour and rub it down again in other places. Repeat until happy!
Is it stained wood you want to distress, or painted wood?
Use sandpaper or a sanding block to rub on the edges and the surface where furniture has a natural tendency to wear.
