Dig it out by hand. I planted clover in my grass as it requires no mowing, adds nutrients back into the soil, soft and fluffy under foot and drought tolerant. If you don't care for it, dig it out.
I leave the clover to grow in my vegetable for the same reason, it doesn't hurt what's growing in the garden and it will nourish the garden. All other weeds are pulled or dug up getting all the roots. Creeping Charlie grows by the roots of the plant by it, coming from a mother plant a lot further out, unless you get all of the plants and roots, it will continue to come back.
