How do we remove wallpaper without damaging the walls?
We just bought a home with wallpaper everywhere! Although the top paper came off fairly easy, the backing is more stubborn. We have tried commercial wall paper remover but it looks like the put this paper directly on the drywall. Any suggestions on how best to take this off with the least amount of damage to the walls? Thank you.

You can try spraying the walls (saturate) with fabric softener, let it sit for about an hour. Cover the floors because it is a drippy mess. Worked very well when I helped my daughter at their new home.
I use a spray of 1 part vinegar and 1 part water to loosen the glue.
I used vinegar and hot water but first scoring the paper every few inches with an x. They sell scoring wheels like a tiny pizza cutter. You will see the paper get wet and scrap with a paint or wall paper spatula being careful not to gouge the wall.
Thank you

I would buy a good quality steamer and it will do the job. We tried everything on ours - but the steamer worked the best.
I would use a steamer. Failing that use warm soapy water and a wallpaper scrapper. Soak the walls by wiping over with sponge.
