African violets need just the right fertilizer and light to thrive. They don't like to be watered over their leaves either and they don't like being overly wet. Mine have always done well in a filtered east light and I have used African Violet fertilizer.
Good luck, all I do is kill them.
Buy a couple cheap ones from Home Depot, water lightly once a week, indirect light (no sunshine on the leaves) use African violet food maybe once a month or add a significantly lighter fertilizer dose into your weekly watering.
Helps to have an African Violet pot....a pot for the plant, sitting in an outer pot to put the water in. I found the best place to put a violet and it would continually bloom was on my kitchen cupboard under the florescent light. I added fertilizer to the water in the outer pot when the directions said to do it....finally got tired of my violets and gave them away.
Thank you so much. I need to purchase some African violet fertilizer and follow some of the wonderful helps I received‼️
