Luana...Great on just about anything!
Dawn dish soap cuts grease, soap, scum. Vinegar disinfects and deodorizes.
Vinegar is a natural acid, so it helps break down mineral deposits and helps kill bio film (slime, sludge).
Dish soap breaks the surface water tension (surfactants) and allows whatever is in the water to adhere to and penetrate the object.
If you combine the two, in the right mix, then it can be more effective at cleaning certain things.
Vinegar and dish soap are often combined to clean anything in the home or out doors. If you add Epsom salts you can also use it for a weed killer (careful, it kills any plant). The dish soap (Dawn is best) cuts grease and dirt while the vinegar kills germs and also deodorizes.
First, both ingredients are excellent at dissolving tough grime. However, vinegar alone will simply run off of most surfaces, while dish soap is too thick to use as a spray. But when you mix them together, you get an effective, sprayable cleaner that sticks to any surface!
