Bleach will get rid of minimal mold. Think severe mold should be handled by trained people.
Hi Aisha, from the research I have done on the subject, most people us bleach water. I have also seen using a tablespoon of tea tree oil in a spray bottle with water.
If just surface mold, vinegar is the way to go. Vinegar kills the mold spores, bleach does not.

If more than surface mold you must being in the pros otherwise you might contaminate the entire house.
My husband painted ours with non mildew paint such as Kilz aroma free paint. We washed it first then painted them.
