How do you get built up wax off?
My bathroom floor has layers of wax on it and I need something eco friendly to clean it.Where it chips off it looks bad.I have allergies to a lot of smells.

If smells bother you, Joanne, you will need someone else to do this job. Try using vinegar diluted with some water. If that doesn't work, straight vinegar should do it.

I sneeze my head off when using ammonia, luckily I have little need for it. I suffer through the process when using things that trigger my allergies as it is only temporary. I take a benadryl before, do the task, then lay down for 15 minutes and I am good to go.
There's a product called Trewax Instant Floor Wax remover, available at Home Depot. It's about $7 for two bottles. Unfortunately, I don't know how strong it smells--perhaps you can check in the store? Sensitivity to odor is a problem in our house, too, so good luck, and do your project on a day you can have all the windows open.
