Here's what I use: Take a spray bottle and cover the bottom with salt and fill it up with vinegar. Add a few drops of dish soap and shake. Spray on the weeds.

Vinegar and Dishwater. Put it in an old quart milk bottle, Shake it up and feel free to spray it liberally on any weed.
Exactly what Dwp7470b said! Just make sure you don't get it on stuff you want to keep alive. And make sure you're using cleaning vinegar (found with cleaning supplies), not the stuff you find in the food/cooking aisles of the grocery store.
For killing weeds on your lawn... None. If you use a "home remedy" to kill weeds on your lawn, it will damage your grass too. Either use a weeding tool to pull obnoxious weeds, or embrace the weeds and just keep mowing. Sorry, this probably isn't what you wanted to hear.
