Hello Katherine. You could put a fake owl near the spot it's pecking at. You will have to move it around every few days. A friend of ours tried a couple different methods but this was the only thing that worked for him. You can buy a fake owl at Wal Mart, garden department. Good luck Katherine.
You have to get rid of what they are coming around for....bugs.
