I use a straight pin. Put it near your TV chair and do it while watching TV.

I didn't KNOW it was a lice comb when I saw it at a Rummage Sale, but I knew what it could do - and that was cleaning the lint out of my toddlers Velcro fasteners on his shoes! Whooeeee! Score! That baby does NOT bend, the metal teeth are close - and it's been part of the junk drawer for over 30 years.
I use duct tape to pull it out/off
