Can you post pictures? Normally, there is a gasket holding the glass in the frame you would remove.

There is usually just a trim piece, like 1/4 round and a few glazing points or caulk holding on the glass. You don't need to remove the whole window.
That middle part is screwed on real tight plus stuck on with the paint
Is it metal,rubber,wood pieces holding in the glass? Is it above tub? Are you reinstalling tempered /safety glass? Sometimes safety glass is installed in way it cannot be removed & if it's above tub it should/needs to be safety glass because if you slip in tub and put arm hand,other body parts thru window you'll be in be trouble. ""all glass that is within 60 inches vertically from the tub or shower drain must, according to Codes, be tempered glass.
