The Truth About Natural Weed Killer Exposed
Hi Libby, here's a few natural weed killers you could try - https://www.realsimple.com/home-organizing/homemade-weed-killer
Try mixing Epsom salts and vinegar and water. This has worked well for me through the years, and is non toxic to pets and people.
I have found it best to spray the area kinda heavily early in the morning and let the sun bake it dry. Then I would remove the dead brown stuff in the evening and retreat the next morning, if needed but usually its once and done. Although this will need to be repeated in 3-4 weeks.
Vinegar is what I use. I am not into mixing crazy concoctions. Vinegar in a pump sprayer works just fine for me. Purchase at big box warehouse stores or restaurant supply. $2 or less per gallon. Easy, quick and cheap.
Yep, white vinegar works and if you add regular table salt that increases the quickness of the death of the weeds. I even add a squirt of Dawn dish washing soap as I think it helps the mixture adhere to those pesky weeds!
Weed burner! May have to do it a couple of times. Worth the time!
I have used vinegar and then I pour boiling hot water on it. I don’t see any reacuring weeds the rest of the season. ( I just my little 8 cup kettle to get the boing water to the weeds - it’s electric - well worth the money spend on it).
Libby all the above ideas are great. Let me add one to the mix. Many people have had much success with just pouring on boiling water. This link will give you some hints. Hope it helps.

Vinegar
VINEGAR!! Just spray it on wherever you want dead plants.
put vinegar in a spray/stream bottle that you have primed from its trigger spray handle and spray away. If you dig up a DANDELION and don't get all the root out (we Never do) take your trusty sprayer loaded with vinegar to the hole to kill the rest of t he root before covering the hole with dirt. Grass will eventually come back. Removing those grass or weed roots take an effort to remove them.
