How do I revamp my kitchen?
I have a Formica backsplash attached to my countertops, all in 70’s butcher block. I want to revamp it but I want to have it the same level. Any ideas on paint and stencils? Trying to do this on a very small budget

I laid tiled over mine. It worked well. You can see it here: https://www.craftylittlegnome.com/tile-over-laminate-counters/
Hi Suanne: Cabinets look nice. I love your signs and plaques on the wall. I would probably lighten up the paint on the wall and also paint the blue door the same color. Put molding on the door to add interest. As for the countertops and backsplash Diane at In my own style has a tutorial on painting counter tops which is great. Or you can purchase Giani Kit.
Hi Suanne! I can tell you how to paint your counter tops with Dixie Belle Chalk Mineral Paint :)
It is super easy to paint with Dixie Belle.
Step one: Clean with White Lightning
Step two: Apply two coats of Slick Stick
Step three: Paint one to two coats of Dixie Belle Chalk Mineral Paint
Step four: Use Gator Hide for a water-repellent finish
No sanding required!

You can paint the countertop. You can remove the backsplash or go over it. Tile, paint, wood, peel and stick, etc. If you don't remove it just scuff up the surface with 100 grit sandpaper.

You can also use contact paper for a quick and temporary color change. Just make sure the counter is clean or you’ll see bumps under the contact paper.
You could use peel and stick tile for the back splash, or paint and stencil it and leave your counter as is. Paint your wall and/or door by picking a colour from you tile or paint used on backsplash. Your wall hangings are lovely and your cupboards look good. Good luck have fun and post a pic when you are done.
