I'm not a decorator. I do have a house with walls. I decide what I want and then decide which will be my accent wall. It has never been a wall with a window. If you have a fireplace built in that would be your accent wall. Those are my only qualifications.
Thank you I do not have a fireplace, I have one very small window, I'm not sure what to do!!

are you just painting? it could be the ceiling instead of a wall
Lynn, I have a drop ceiling!! So that's no good👎🙅
What room is It? If a bedroom, I always use the wall behind the bed as the accent wall. At my old house, in the dining room, I used the wall where I placed the buffet and buffet lamps.
Hi Tracey, it really just depends on the room. If it is a bedroom the accent wall is the wall with the bed. If it is a bathroom it could be where the vanities are or the bathtub depending on the bathroom. If its a family room it could be the fireplace. It generally is the first wall you see when you walk in a room. If you have a picture of the whole room to post that would be helpful.
