How do I get rid of weeds on my terrace?
I tried weedkiller, boiling water, vinegar. Dandelions and grassen keep coming back almost instantie after removing them.
Most of the chemical over the counter ones are safe once they dry. Boiling water, vinegar, there are lots of choices, but you have to make sure that it doesn't touch anything that you want to keep like plants, shrugs, trees, etc. If too much is used it can also soak into the soil and affect the root systems of the keepers. The safest way is to just hand pull or dig up the weeds. In the garden, put down Preen Weed Preventer to keep weed seeds from germinating. It doesn't cover root born weeds like creeping charlie or some grasses or tree seeds. I spend about five minutes a week in my gardens taking care of creeping charlie and nothing else. It doesn't affect existing plants of any plants or seeds that you plant. I have four dogs with a dog door to the back yard and I use the Roundup that is safe for grass on weeds and have never had a problem with them.
I would try vinegar and dawn soap. Kills most things including poison ivy. Good luck
There are 11 pets in my house. I only use: 1. Boiling water. 2. Epsom salt followed by boiling water. 3. Vinegar. Method depends on where the weed might be. I do dig out a lot by hand and spend a good 15 minutes or more per day removing them when I am out exercising the dogs and have the canary in the shade and let the dragon get some sun in the cool grass.
Pour vinegar on the weeds or boiling salt water
i hand pull mine, great workout :)
