Buy Amdro ant bait( Works quick-put on trails ants carry back to nest kills queen nest gone) or mix your own(samething)Boric Acid with cornmeal get at Walmart, Amazon or hardware stores
I heard this works:
Mix sugar and Borax with water until it dissolves.
Soak cotton ball with solution then place cotton ball on wax paper. Place the wax paper with the soaked cotton ball near ants.
This makes a ton of ant poison, cut the recipe to ¼ and you will still have plenty!
borax.
If you can't use a poison like Amdro ant bait, which works really well, there's another method. Ants can't digest corn meal, so sprinkle it near their trails and ant hills. They will try to eat it, and die. Of course, it's safe to sprinkle corn meal around your home and garden.
Hi Diana - Those little buggers are relentless, aren't they?!? This is the most effective method and all-natural spray DIY that we use with ants. It's best indoors, but will also work outside with more frequent applications. Hope this helps! Hugs, Holly

Spread used coffee grounds around the point of entry. I used them around the foundation where I saw ant mounds and it was amazing to see the number of ants exiting the mounds.
