Before and After

My good friends Laura and Nichola work at a school that was having a garage sale. They called and asked if I would want a pair of chairs? Oh, yes!
I picked them up for $20.00 each
I took them down to the bare bones, being sure to take a photo of each step so that I would be sure to remember how to put them back together. The batting and foam were in great shape so I was able to keep them. Bonus! Then a little bright, glossy white spray paint on the arms and legs and the chairs were ready for reupholstery!
Using the old fabric as a pattern, I cut out the new fabric. This chair went back together easily. It had minimal sewing on the seat, but the rest was just like putting a puzzle back together, only with staples! I am no upholsterer by profession, so to hide the staples on the back of the chair, I used white gimp. It looks great!
