Add a throw rug and some curtains to absorb the sound, Michele.
If you can arrange some furniture diagonally that will also help. The echo is caused by sound ricocheting off the walls, reverberating.
Rectangular room, rectangular furniture and we have ping pong sound waves.
Add a bunch of soft materials in the room, a rug, curtains, maybe some fiber art — these will all help absorb sound.
Hello Michele,
Add lots of fabric (Carpet or rug) Drape Curtains, Upholstered Settee or chair, cushions etc. All help to deaden the noise..........
hang drapes, curtains, canvas painters tarps(cheapest) across the wall( the whole length & width) behind you/your desk. this will cut the noise bouncing around room
Curtains, a rug or two, even a large cork bulletin board will all help deaden the sound. Also, anti-vibration pads under machines like printers.
Soft furnishings will absorb the echo. Add rugs, curtains, pillows, upholstered furniture.
