It depends on the dye you want to use. Some are made to add to the wet mix before pouring, others are applied after the concrete has cured.
It is a powder that is added to the wet mix. Brick masons use this often for mortar.
Shell....They do have concrete color...I know nothing about it but you can Google and find out some answers I believe but there are several people on Hometalk that will probably give you an answer concerning how to do. Good luck
You can buy it at Lowes and Home Depot, or on Amazon.
You can use a 5-gallon garden pump sprayer to stain or paint your concrete. There is also powsered dye you can add to the concrete as its mixed and poured. We did that for a patio at one house and it the color stayed true for years as it's all the way through the concrete. I'd advise that if you haven't already poured the concrete.
