If Im out of shaving cream, you can use lotion. Some people use lotion on leather furniture. If you do, wipe it down immediately, so as not to leave a cloudy residue.

Craziest answer I have is to use for Batik resist.

Mix with cheap toothpaste and paint designs on fabric like a plain tee shirt. Use tie dye or water down acrylic paint to brush over the design and let dry. Then wash out the lotion and toothpaste to reveal the design in the color of the original fabric. It is easier than glue or wax.
