You can try to fish a swifter thru the cage. I live those things, i use them constantly.
I ended up taking mine apart. Cleaned it w/ soap n water ,then I sprayed it with antistatic spray. Dust never stayed on blades again. Works great w/ artificial plants, couches (pet hair)
A vacuum might work. But I would take it apart. There's usually about 4 screws to remove.
Use a paint brush.Works on my fans.
by the time you try to clean it poking thru the cover you could have taken it apart and cleaned it faster & much more thoroughly. need to clean the area where the motor is also so it gets enuf air flow if you clean it regularly it will last much longer and work better
Funny, I am doing mine today. Takes no time at all to take apart, clean, dry and reassemble. I have 4.
Thanks ladies! Great suggestions my fellow HomeTalkers!! :)
Air compressor if you have one. If not use the air hose at the gas station or some car washes.
Try canned air.
