I use toothpaste! Cover the whole thing with a cheap toothpaste let it sit about 30 min and wash off with a mild soap and water! Beautiful effortless cleaning!

I would purchase the correct silver polish from a jewelry store. Some homemade remedies may take the finish off and I would not take the chance with an expensive tray. The silver solution is usually less than $10.00 and a little bit goes a long way.
white toothpaste & soft wet cloth buffing/polishing in gentle circular motions then rinse with hot water and cloth dry asap so no spots form-make sure the cloths you use are free of fabric softener and do not use paper towels--old wah cloths or cut up t-shirts are best.

I saw a method on YouTube using basic Heinz ketchup in a bottle. Rubbing it all over the silver and wiping clean. Looked like it worked!
