  • We have the same issue... do you have a dog? If not, reach out to your local SPCA and see if they can give you traps.

Cats do not like the smell of citronilla, lavender, peppermint, lemongrass and orange.Use essential oils. One part essential oil and the parts water then spray where needed.

Send them to my house! lol, just kidding. Do you have a trap-neuter-return organize in your area? If so, that is the best thing to do to help control colony growth. And it's the most humane. Not an immediate solution but could help long-term!

Motion sensor sprinklers;chicken wire placed over soil around plants or over soil and plants will grow thru it;please do not burn them with herbs/spices it is cruel and not effective, the animals you are trying to deter(cats, squirrels, chipmunks, deer) from area do not associate the burn until they are elsewhere cleaning themselves, burning doing damage to nose, eyes, mouth, ears, genitals, nipples & their babies who maybe nursing It is cruel. Google local TNR programs then give info. to your neighbor so you both can get the feral, stray, free roaming neighborhood cats under better control.Help them if they need it. It will be to both your advantage. Suggest they get outdoor boxes to keep cats going in their own yard, the lrg cement mixing tubs from Lowes-Home depot work well. There are solutions besides being mean to the cats,I'm sure the cats would much rather lead a better life indoors, really it's more of a people problem. Many places have laws ordinances that it is illegal to harm or endanger a feral so you cannot legally trap them and remove them especially since you know she is feeding them they are legally her pets. Some places they are just protected. Contact city/county to come out and talk to her about options/ideas to keep neighborhood from being at odds fighting over this world wide issue.TNR programs are provern to help as well as motion sensor sprinklers and chicken wire.Maybe your neighbor will buy you the sprinkler or the fencing to put down.Have you even spoke to them about this? Most times people complain to everyone except the people directly. Just use some tact and don't verbally attack them when approaching them.or as I said have animal control do it.
