How should I hang this lamp?
I have this lamp shade that I really love and I have this funky light bulb that is multi colored. When lit up inside the lamp shade it looks really cool!
But I don't have the proper lamp base.
so I found this long white cord and it will work but I just don't know where to hang out or how.
The "where" I can figure out...the "how" is where I need your help.
How should I hang it?
Thanks!

Very cool shade! I have a hanging lamp. There's a chain coming off the top and it hangs from the chain so there's no stress on the cord. You can use a ceiling hook to hang it and let the cord dangle.
I'm not sure, but love that lamp!
Find a location where you can plug the electrical cord in (I suggest near a corner of your room) and hang a large screw-in hook to run the cord onto so the electrical cord isn't bearing the fun weight. I suggest the corner so the lamp can be hung where people aren't walking under it and the designs will reflect off the two walls beautifully. Love that lamp!
I was envisioning the first one on the left.....but guess the other type would work as well.
Oh, correct. I think you have to counter-sink an anchor or some such thing and then attach the big hook to the protruding screw. We need to keep it simple and use the ones on the right....& be done! No one is going to look at the hook they'll be admiring the lamp and the designs it throws onto the walls.
