Remove wood or rock piles and trim back plantings; these provide cover or food for chipmunks. Surround the yard or home with a plant-free gravel border. Prevent chipmunks from digging up flower bulbs by planting the bulbs beneath a wire or plastic screen ground cover or in bulb cages.

feed them elsewhere in yard, they are so cute and fun to watch; add chicken wire to top of garden beds so they cannot dig in it either in pieces/strips around base of bigger plants or on ground over plants before they come up thru ground they will grow thru it;motion sensor sprinklers
Buy some pinwheel s or garden spinners from the dollar store. Place them arou nd the garden. Place the stick end 5-7 inches into the ground. When the wind blows and they spin , it causes a vibration in the stick that travels into the ground which bothers the chipmunks. Good luck !
