You can add 2x2s to back of mirror at frame with about 18" longer to go down on back of dresser and screw into the back. The mirror would rest on top of dresser.
Much easier to hang on wall.
This rail kit is made for this exact purpose. Very easy and stable.
I'm not sure where to get them, but a lot of older dressers have metal rods and mounting hardware that secure to the back of the dresser the back of the mirror.
