How to clean my deck?

I sanded and stained my deck last fall. With all the snow sitting on it over winter, it left a residue on it that won't wash off with water. What can I use to get rid of the white residue?

Use a deck cleaner and a power washer, but keep washer pressure low to prevent chewing up the wood.

Pressure wash at a low pressure setting with a deck cleaning solution. Then spray with Wet & Forget Outdoor to help prevent future issues.

did you put ice melt or salt on it? or walking in & out of the area tracking across decking from other sources. "Products that are used to melt ice typically leave behind a salt residue, which may build up and cause permanent damage to asphalt, pavements, wood decks and floors. Keep this in mind when laying down salt this winter." The salt residue is sticky, too, so not only will you spread it around, but it will also attract dirt, which will only make things worse. 3 gallon hot water 1 cup vinegar 2 tbsp Dawn Dish soap scrub areas with stiff deck brush and solution rinse well with hot water, dry may need repeated. deck may need resealed again because ice melt products may have eaten thru sealer.
