Pruning in February (in Texas) is very important. Videos online show you how. Also, buy a good quality rose food and apply as directed. Finally, remove spent blooms regularly to keep your bushes flowering. Hope this helps.😊

Miracle-Grow for Roses
Roses appear to develop better color intensity if you sprinkle Epsom Salts around the drip line of the plant, then scratch it into dirt and water.
Roses do well with minced banana peel, dug into ground, about 6" from center branch.
Always water from the bottom, and clean up leaf debris.
Bayer Corporation makes a rose food that is granular and contains imidicloprid, which deters many bugs.
NEEM OIL is good for deterring Japanese Beetles. You can kill their larvae by applying Milky Spore yearly for 3 years, or Grub X, yearly, to lawn areas bordering roses.
Keep roses pruned to increase air circulation and make sure they have good drainage and sufficient sun. Mulch with 3" hardbark mulch, keeping it clear of center stem.
Spray with Liquid Fence to deter browsing deer.
