As long as the area receives enough sun it should be just fine. My backyard property is much smaller than most, yet I still have a few spots where I can grow tomatoes.
Tomatoes grow really well in pots. Put the pot in full sun
Hi Louise. Pick a spot that gets full sun. Begin by tilling and loosening up the soil. Break up the big clumps and remove all weeds. The roots do well in loose soil. Scatter a bag of compost on the area and work it into the soil. Purchase your tomatoes. Dig holes and place a tomato in each hole. Approx 3 feet apart. Put a tomato cage right over each plant and feed your plants up thru the center of the cage as they grow. Water them at least every other day during the hot summer for 15 minutes. Pull any weeds that sprout up. Pick and enjoy. Good luck Louise.
