I was given an old cast iron tub. I want a koi pond, and wondered if this would work?
Depends upon the statuary and the courtyard. How big the courtyard, is it surrounded by stone walls, greenery? Does it have a floor? What is the floor? What is the statuary? More than one piece? It would be like styling anything. Without pics it is really almost impossible to give instructions, but if I were uncertain about this kind of project (I'm not) I would ask the friend/relative whose decorating taste I most admire. They would probably be glad to help.
Just about anywhere. Look at garden magazines or on line for some great ideas.
I'd find the statue/object I want to use first, then figure out how to display it and what the construction of the courtyard should be. If your courtyard is already finished, I'd measure the space and then find a statue of the right dimensions.
