Pare down your furniture and accessories to the bare minimum. Remove all items that are personal to your family (photos, artwork, collections)...clean everything well and let fresh air in. Remove all traces of pets.
In additon to Fiddledede's reply: Add a couple of plants and turn on the lamps. Bake some cookies so the house smells good.
And your estate agent should have given you pointers and things to do, and things not to do. Just GOOGLE and you can find innumerable articles of how to present your home for sale. Hopefully your estate agent will turn up on picture day. If they want their commission, they need to earn it and not leave you floundering in limbo when this is their job to guide you. If they don't, consider terminating your agreement and getting someone who wants your business and knows what to do. Read this:

Get rid of or put in storage unit; half of everything, most of your personal photo's etc. You don't want packed cabinets, and closets. Let them see room for their things. Instead of many pictures, on 1 wall, have 1-2. Not much on kitchen countertops either. Google Home Staging.
