Here is a link to companion plants. Looks like Marigolds are a good fit to repel pests and attract beneficial insects. This really works!

The suggestion for marigolds in the garden is an excellent one and helps to deter aphids, etc. Spray with a mix of 1 part dish liquid to 40 parts water and leave on for about 20 minutes, not in the hot sun, and then hose off. You may have to repeat, but this mix will not harm the plants.
We spray ours with Neem oil. We order it online. Spray the underside of leaves and plants first then top side for best results.
