How to kill fleas on pets naturally?
Does anyone have a suggestion to kill fleas on my cats besides using those expensive topicals? If there is a homemade remedy for this I would love to know what it is. Thanks,

Hi ! Yes you can use a natural product called diatomaceous earth . I would buy food grade , not industrial ! You can get a pound bag for about $10 off Amazon. This has many uses around the home , garden , pets & people !!! It comes in a very fine powder form .
I agree with Pam, I use it on my cat who is allergic to the drops. So I put it in a small glass jar and poke lots of holes in the lid to make a shaker. Then when I'm brushing my long-haired cat, I shake some on and brush it in. I avoid her head - eyes and nose by putting my hand over the area when shaking it on.
I have 6 indoor outdoor cats and no fleas. I spray the yard with vinegar. If your cat is an indoor cat, someone in the household is bringing them in from elsewhere.

Hi Jane. There is a product called Diatomaceous Earth. It is all organic and safe for pets and children. Its a powder made of crushed shells and coral. You can spread it in your yard, in your home. It makes little cuts on any insect with a exoskeleton causing them to dehydrate and die. I use it in my yard for ticks, and ants. Some people even put it on their carpet and leave it over night then vacuum it up the next day. People even put it in their drinks. Check it out. There is more info on it too if you search the web.
