This is an easy craft, perfect for Father's Day, or any day really. It's an inexpensive way to recycle and make an attractive gift. For more pics, written directions and video tutorial, visit HERE: https://craftklatchwithmona.blogspot.com/2013/06/fathers-day-newspaper-pencil-holder.html

Time to dive into the recycling bin! Gather your newspapers and clean and remove the label from a can.

Trim you newspapers to half sheets.

Roll the newspaper around a pencil and add glue along the way. If you glue along the way, it won't come apart.

Keep rolling, until you reach the end. Make sure to put glue at the very end, to keep it all together!

Roll bunch of them! You need enough to go around the can.

Add hot glue to the can.

Press on the newspaper roll.

Do that around the whole can.

Trim the rolls down to the edge of the top and bottom of the cans.

I hot glued on some rope, for extra detail.
