Is Creeping Charlie in your lawn a good thing or a bad thing?
Is there a sure-fire way to get rid of Creeping Charley?
If you live in the woods, probably the best way is to screen-in your deck.
Good point from Ann, you need a physical barrier to keep them out so you can enjoy the woods.
We have a screen porch/tent on our deck. We put it up each spring and take it down in the fall. It only takes a few minutes to do. We anchor it to the deck floor and use tie downs for summer storms. I have a hexagon shaped screen porch. It is the most effective for rain runoff during a downpour and doesn't sag like the square or rectangular screen tents did in the past. It does help with the bugs. You can also lay down an outdoor rug in the tent screen house to keep any bugs from coming up through the deck boards if you have spaces in your deck boards. Someday I WILL have a screened in 3 season porch!
How about portable fans? I have 2 patio fans facing in toward the seating and dining area.
