Are you building the room?
Are the appliances and the water heater side by side? Are they close to any walls? Please post a picture of the area as it looks now so that we can see what kind of space you have to work with.
You can buy very inexpensive plastic drawstring doors and blinds at any home improvement store. Or use plywood, paneling, corkwood doors, or pegboards for walls and dividers. You could even use chicken wire and decorate it with rope or yarn or pictures hung with hooks. Best wishes, Lanie. Jewell
