How do I get rid of spiders?
I have six peppermint plants in my house, four are in one pot. I placed it by my patio door. Now I’m getting spiders!!! And the plants don’t smell only when I first water them! Why? I thought these plants repelled bugs? Did not have the spiders before.

Depending on the spider, the natural stuff like vinegar and water sprayed does not work on large spiders. This article is very good https://www.homedepot.com/c/ab/how-to-get-rid-of-spiders/9ba683603be9fa5395fab90ab04bca3
What repels any bugs is removing their food/what they eat. So...must be something there they are eating, the moist plant is drawing something the spider wants to eat mosquitos, aphids, flies, gnats, spider mites, crickets, cockroaches, moths.Along with lights from windows & light bulbs that are on at night. Repeatedly removing the webs and egg cases with broom will keep spiders away be sure to smash any egg cases(white cottony balls),along with spraying the area with water regularly and spraying for bugs they eat. Neem oil,Lavender oil, lemon oil, cear oil, citronella oil, peppermint oil (all need to be 100% pure essential oils need to be used to repel any bugs) Mosquito dunks or bits in soil for gnats/mosquitos; diatomaceous earth around patio for crickets/cockroaches. just remember the spiders are probably eating bugs that you really don't want around
Hi Kathryn - We use this spray in conjunction with our swiffer and in addition to be a great duster spray, it helps to keep spiders and other buggies at a minimum. Hope this helps! Hugs, Holly
