Motion sensors sprinklers
Electric shock fencing-- they'll stay away!!!!! Won't hurt them-- but IT WORKS! Used a lot on farms to keep predators OUT, and farm animals IN!!!!
A good fence makes for good neighbors. The first 2 of my houses were fenced to keep the dogs in bounds. Find where the pets live, notify the owner the next time the pets are in your yard you will take them to the pound. The owner will have to prove vaccines such as rabies were done, before the pets are released.
All are good comments, depends on the animals that are coming in.
If dogs and cats that are not feral, contact the owners for the first offense, then step it up with the take them to the animal shelter. If feral then I would go with the motion sensor sprinklers for cats. Dogs need a fence to keep out, so sorry.
What kind of "animals?" Even though my back yard is fenced, I still get raccoons, possums, skunks, rats, mice, lizards, etc.
